Father’s Day at GOGOX – Hear from our Colleagues who are Fathers
EventsThis Father’s Day, GOGOX interviewed 3 colleagues who are fathers to honour and recognise the challenges they face while working and being a parent at the same time.
Our driver-partners work tirelessly, delivering parcels and packages for our business partners and ad-hoc customers.
Read on as they share more on being a father and a driver-partner at the same time.

Q1: What is the most memorable moment you’ve shared with your kids?
We had a memorable day when my kid got first prize in a drawing competition. She shared with me that it made her so happy.
Q2: Do your kids know what you do? How would they describe your job?
They know I work in Singapore, they are so excited about what I do, when they describe what I move.
Q3: What’s one thing fatherhood has taught you?
Fatherhood has showed me true happiness and the drive to be more successful.
Q4: What is the best advice your dad has given you?
He told me to be kind and be aware of things around you.
Q5: What is the most important thing you wish that your children will learn?
I want my children to learn manners and to be consistent in doing things until they reach their goal.

Q1: What is the most memorable moment you’ve shared with your kids?
The most memorable moment I had? When I had to move a big table from IKEA to a condo. As there was no available manpower, I asked my daughter and son to help out. I taught both of them how to use bubble wrap and shared my experience with them. Allowing them to experience how I went about my daily life made me feel like we really bonded as a family.
Q2: Do your kids know what you do? How would they describe your job?
Yes they know I am a mover. They would describe me as a person who would always give his 110% when doing any orders. Be it carrying heavy items up staircases or going the extra mile to help bubble wrap items, they are always proud of me that I take the extra step to ensure my customers experience 10/10 service.
Q3: What’s one thing fatherhood has taught you?
Fatherhood taught me perseverance. Being a working adult means that I have to always put a smile on my face when teaching my kids despite how tired I am. Nothing beats seeing the smile on my children’s face when I come home to teach or chat with them. This allows me to be motivated and carry on working to give them the best life I can offer to them.
Q4: What is the best advice your dad gave you?
My father taught me that nothing is impossible. When there’s a will, there’s a way. I was once jobless and felt depressed as I could not find a job in the now advanced world. But, because of my children, I was motivated to be a mover to set food on the table and to be able to provide for them.
Q5: What is the most important thing you wish your children will learn?
I want them to learn that blood is thicker than water. While arguments may arise at times, we are still a family and related by blood. If we are not there for each other, who else will be? I want them to know that family is very important.
Jeremy, Driver-Partner
Q1: What is the most memorable moment you’ve shared with your kids?
I have so many memorable moments with my children that it is quite difficult to choose. The most memorable moment with my first daughter was when she got accepted to all the universities that she applied to. With my second daughter, it was when her application to become an air stewardess was accepted because that is what she has always wanted since young. Lastly, for my son, who is my youngest, it was when he was selected for the Singapore under 14s basketball team.
Q2: Do your kids know what you do? How would they describe your job?
My children would describe my job as one that is physically taxing, yet rewarding at the same time. Despite having to carry heavy goods, I hope they can see my sense of accomplishment whenever I manage to give my customers a smooth journey and can help them in any way within my means.
Q3: What’s one thing fatherhood has taught you?
It has taught me to balance my time between work and maintaining a healthy relationship with my family.
Q4: What is the best advice your dad gave you?
The best advice my father has ever given me is that I should always set my aim and direction, stick to it, and see it through. I should never do something which will make me unhappy, just because I want the people around me to be happy.
Q5: What is the most important thing you wish your children will learn?
I always tell them family comes first. Be there for each other not only in good times but also in bad times.
