Refrigerator 

Before few days of moving

。 Empty your refrigerator and freezer of food and drinks. In case you can’t consume them all, you may put them into boxes or give them away to your friends or neighbours.

。Prepare large of moving wrapping papers, bubble wrap, and tapes.
 

Before one day of moving

。Take out the reminding food or drinks, movable parts such as shelves, trays and drawers. Wrap them properly with wrapping papers.

。Unplug the refrigerator and coil the power cord.

。Deforest. This is a must-practice as it prevents water leakage during the day of moving. Do it at least 24 hours in advance and the process normally takes 6-8 hours to complete.

。After deforestation, you should wipe the refrigerator in the morning.

。Secure the refrigerator door. You can use the packing tape or shrink-wrap, just to make sure to secure the door and prevent great damage.

Additional Tips

。The refrigerator should be kept upright and never place it vertically. This would harm the cooling system especially the compressors.

。Moving the refrigerator needs moving dolly. You need to carefully slide the refrigerator away from the wall and roll it slowly to the truck. Do not try to move ALONE. To prevent any damage or injury, you should hire additional hands.
